Mariana Islands Map Update Coming soon!
We’re continuing to improve the Mariana Islands map with enhanced textures, more accurate landmarks, airfield usability, and smoother performance. This update increases immersion across the map, and it brings technical fixes for more stable low-level, high-speed flights.
We’re adding new 3D objects across Saipan and Guam, including Mount Carmel Cathedral, the Saipan Japanese Lighthouse, and the Northern Mariana Islands Museum of History and Culture. These will bring more character and realism to both urban and coastal areas. At Andersen Air Force Base, the Mobility Command Operations Terminal, and Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting buildings will be fully modeled for greater realism. Many structures will feature destroyed-state models to provide more convincing battle damage. We’re also improving building collision models to solve stuttering when flying near them.
We’re also added new natural visual reference landmarks such as Bird Island and Fouha Rock along the coastline. The cliffs on Pagan, Guam, and Saipan will have improved geometry and detail to enhance shoreline realism.
Our terrain team is improving all of the map’s airfields. The terrain mesh ‘steps’ at Andersen AFB will be gone, allowing smoother taxi operations. Airfield signage at Saipan International will be more accurate, and we’re fixing and expanding PAPI and VASI lighting at more airfields. Taxiways and ground markings will also be improved for better visibility during approach, landing, and taxiing.
The environment will have better seabed textures, improved cliff faces, more detailed roads, and smoother shoreline transitions. These changes will make the map more consistent from the air and add realism for low-level flying while maintaining improved performance.
All these updates will contribute to improving the Mariana Islands experience, bringing more realism, smoother performance, and better mission immersion. Coming soon to DCS in a future update!
DCS: F-16C Fangs Out Campaign by Fight's On Simulation
The DCS: F-16C Fangs Out campaign by Fight's On Simulations is coming soon and offers a focused training experience for those looking to learn the Viper as part of a two-ship element. This campaign is loosely inspired by elements of the F-16 B-Course and designed to help you expand your skills.
This 15-mission campaign for the DCS: F-16C Viper guides you through a structured series of air-to-air and air-to-ground sorties based on real-world training over the DCS: NEVADA Test and Training Range Map. You will fly BFM and ACM engagements, conduct tactical intercepts and BVR scenarios, learn to strike ground targets, and suppress enemy air defenses. The focus is on learning the Viper’s radar, avionics, and weapons systems as part of a two-ship element.
The final scenarios are designed to test your coordination, discipline, and systems management. The campaign ends with a check ride to evaluate the skills you have developed.
Fangs Out includes over 2,500 lines of voiced dialogue, custom ATC interactions, and complete documentation with a detailed Nellis area guide. Input from a real-world F-16 pilot and a current operational JTAC ensures authenticity, and the campaign features detailed 311th Squadron F-16 skins by _Max_ using the DCS: F-16 Template by Texac.
Get ready to strap into the cockpit, get into formation, and take on the challenge with Fangs Out.
DCS ITALIA Servers Online Community
DCS-ITALIA is an excellent online community dedicated to Digital Combat Simulator enthusiasts; created to provide a shared environment where virtual pilots of all skill levels can meet, collaborate, and enjoy a highly immersive and realistic flight experience. DCS ITALIA operates multiple 24/7 servers featuring persistent dynamic PvE and PvP campaigns across different operational scenarios and dedicated training environments.
HIDC – Shadow Keeper (PvE)
The High-Intensity Dynamic Campaign runs in a persistent 24/7 environment, and it is in final testing ahead of the release of version 2.6. It introduces unique mechanics that allow players to conquer territory, capture zones, destroy enemy SAM sites, bases, and factories. It also allows you to construct forward operating bases. Logistics and resource management play a key role, and it is based on RTS gameplay. Supported by an integrated web platform, FRONTLINE, it provides real-time information, planning tools, and coordination features.
LIDC – Peace Keeper (PvPvE)
The Low-Intensity Dynamic Campaign focuses on asymmetric warfare within a persistent scenario where players fight insurgent forces controlled by human operators. This creates unpredictable ambushes, mine threats, surprise attacks, and more. The campaign is designed especially for helicopters, ground-attack jets, logistics operations, and multirole aircraft providing rapid support.
Weekly Events & Missions
The community regularly hosts weekly events, custom missions, and targeted training sessions based on player needs and requests.
Targeting Range Server
A dedicated 24/7 training range featuring specialized tools and scenarios is provided to help pilots practice and refine their combat skills.
