DCS: Normandy by Ugra Media is receiving updated colour and splatmap textures for fields and buildings. Airfield textures have also been improved and multiple bugs at Evreux, Funtington, Maupertus, Saint-Laurent-sur-Mer and St. Pierre du Mont airfields have been fixed. Taxiway issues at Azeville, Barville, Evreux and Lantheuil have also been resolved.

Performance improvements when flying low over dense forest areas are noticeable. Individual tree types including; Amur Oak, Black Ash, Pine, Riverbirch and Sugar Maple are now more distinguishable and lifelike.

We are completing work on all existing airfields and resolving aircraft collisions with static ground objects. AI taxiing logic is also being improved.

Multiple cosmetic bugs have been resolved, and new unique objects and support facilities have been added to provide a more realistic appearance. Improvements also cover the road/rail network, the Citadelle d’Arras, and more.

The area around the city of Amiens has been reworked to include much more detailed buildings, trees, and bushes.

Added a new feature into the payloads panel in the mission editor: Loadout per pylon restriction.The main goal for this feature is to give mission designers more tools to control their mission environment in multiplayer. Over a dozen unique landmarks and detailed objects including; cathedrals, churches, prisons and graveyards have been added in addition to a substantial number of texture enhancements and LOD optimisations. Marianas - Development Progress

CS: Marianas has received a large update that includes new islands to the north of Saipan. These largely uninhabited, volcanic atolls include:

  • Sarigan
  • Guguan
  • Alamagan
  • Pagan
  • Agrihan
  • Asuncion
  • Maug Islands (North, East and West Islands)
  • Farallon de Pajaros


The update also includes breaking waves against shorelines, an improved seabed elevation map, a pair of new unique buildings, and a non-paved airfield on the Pagan island. This is in addition to numerous terrain and road network fixes.

    AIM-120 AMRAAM has received a separate INS (Inertial Navigation System) unit with datalink support. The missile seeker model has been completely revised. The radar dish now uses a realistically gyro stabilized gimbal that is controlled by the INS before target lock. An active missile seeker, like that in the AIM-120, will have its detection and tracking lock range based on physical calculations of noise and target signal ratio (which in turn depends on target RCS or ECM power and range). Target search and tracking is based on doppler velocity filtering (introduced realistic velocity gate), and the radar will search for a target near the target reference velocity provided by the INS. The guidance law was also updated. Missile seekers have received Kalman filters that estimate target motion parameters. The new guidance law accounts for target normal to LOS accelerations, possible target G-load growth rate, compensate for missile x-axis acceleration, and missile control system latency.
