DCS --> SimpleRadio

I decided I wanted to learn C/C++ and some C# so I set myself the challenge of writing my own Radio plugin for DCS.

DCS-SimpleRadio is what i've come up with, and its a plugin similar to TARS and ARIES.

This isn't meant to detract from ARIES or TARS, as they're much more advanced than my implementation, I just thought it would be a good idea to share


Features:
Full radio integration with all clickable cockpit aircraft (except Hawk & C-101)
Working Volume Control - A10C radio starts with all radio volumes at 0!
Working Frequency Control
Maximum of 3 radios supported per aircraft
FC3 Aircraft have 3 radios controllable by hotkeys or the optional DCS-SimpleRadio.exe program
Stand alone optional radio status panel
Ability to hear others and talk to them when not currently in game or not in an aircraft (hotkey to disable this if you want)
Ability to force the Radio system on when spectating, Ground Commanding or JTAC

Known Limitations
On some US radios the currently selected pre-set radio channel selector doesn't seem to work, as in all the frequencies are the same...
No Signal degradation or line of sight limitations to broadcasts unlike TARS
Guard Frequencies not yet implemented

ecco un breve riassunto tra le varie radio:

DCS-SimpleRadio - No radio effects, although CrossTalk can be used to add them
Teo's MARS - Radio effects simulated
TARS - Full Radio simulation with radio effects, Line of Sight and power limitations
ARIES - Full Radio Simulation, Line of Sight and power limitations - As realistic as possible

Ciao ragazzi,

Nel 36°, come alcuni di voi già sanno, stiamo testando questo software. A mio parere Cribob stà facendo un ottimo lavoro ed è attento alle richieste da parte di chi gli da' feedback sul suo operato.

Questo Plugin per il TS, si integra molto bene in DCS e sembra, con i test fatti fino alla versione attuale (v.1.2.1) che non soffra dei problemi che aveva Aries in quanto a stabilità.

Certo non si può paragonare ad Aries per le opzioni impostabili o per la grafica, simpleradio è ancora un po' acerbo, ma confido che Cribob stia lavorando in primis per mantenere la stabilità del software e poi in una seconda fase aggiungere dagli effetti sonori e un pannello graficamente più accattivante e funzionale.

Noi in questo momento stiamo passando dalla fase di test per pochi eletti alla fase di test di massa in missioni addestrative prima ed operative poi.

Vi teniamo aggiornati su eventuali sviluppi e migliorie.

Per ora queste sono le caratteristiche del software:

•Maximum of 3 radios supported per aircraft
•FC3 Aircraft have 3 radios controllable by hotkeys or the optional DCS-SimpleRadio.exe program
•Stand alone optional radio status panel
•Ability to hear others and talk to them when not currently in game or not in an aircraft (hotkey to disable this if you want)
•Ability to force the Radio system on when spectating, Ground Commanding or JTAC
•L-39C Intercom Support - Private channel between from and back seat in multiplayer
•Basic optional radio effects
•Guard Mode for UH-1/A10C/F-86/Mi-8/KA-50

Limiti conosciuti

•On some US radios the currently selected preset radio channel selector doesn't seem to work, as in all the frequencies are the same...
•No Signal degredation or line of sight limitations to broadcasts unlike TARS

So dirvi per uso indiretto che da noi si sta provando UniversRadio con discreto successo, ma non so darvi molti dettagli. Se vi va sentite Dragon in merito

ha del grande potenziale questo dcs simple radio, speriamo che continui a implementarlo.

Ciao Gaanalma. Come ti ha già anticipato Chromium e anch'io sul vostro forum stiamo testando Univers Radio tenendo d'occhio le novità di Simple Radio.
Al momento Univers sembra un passetto in avanti (masking delle comunicazioni e integrazione con LotAtc), non siamo ancora sicuri sull'affidabilità. Unica cosa dolente, al momento, è l'installazione fino a quando non esce la 1.5 stabile. Altra cosa è che non capisco perchè Tacno non apra un thread nel forum ED.
